The Carmelite saint Thérèse of Lisieux is one of the holy men and women highlighted in a new DVD.

In Who Cares About The Saints?, Jesuit priest Father James Martin talks about his favourite saints, including 'The Little Flower' Thérèse Martin.

The DVD is released by Loyola Productions in the United States, and combines Fr. Martin's lively commentary along with photos and artwork that bring to life the lives of the saints.

In talking of St. Thérèse, Fr. Martin - who has also written a book called My Life With The Saints - describes her as someone that people of today can relate to, because of the frank honesty with which she described her experiences in her autobiography.

He also describes her as a saint who is loved by millions of Catholics but who also surprises Christians with her stated desire to be a priest, her temptations to suicide, and her dislike of the rosary.

A preview video in which Fr. Martin talks about St. Thérèse is available on YouTube; to watch it, click on the play arrow in the box below.
