Saint Albert's Press is the publishing house of the British Province of Carmelites, a religious order within the Roman Catholic Church (registered charity 1061342).
Saint Albert's Press publishes and distributes Christian books and media, especially materials relating to the spirituality and history of the Carmelites.
The Press is named after Saint Albert Avogadro of Vercelli (d. 1214), the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem who gave the hermits on Mount Carmel a document setting out their way of life. This became known as the Rule of Saint Albert. As the first 'publisher' of a Carmelite document, Saint Albert is a worthy patron of our Press, and he is depicted in our logo (pictured right).
The Press, first established in the 1950s and revived in 2003 as part of the Carmelite Projects & Publications Office, is a member of the Independent Publishers' Guild.
