Carmelites at the Medieval Congresses
Saint Albert's Press, the publishing house of the British Province of Carmelites, has a book stand every July at the International Medieval Congress (IMC) held at the University of Leeds. The IMC is the largest gathering of medieval scholars to be held in Europe. Most years the British Province, in conjunction with various partners institutions, sponsors at least one Carmelite session at the IMC, and organises the daily celebration of Eucharist.
Papers on Carmelite topics are often given at the
International Congress on Medieval Studies hosted by Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, U.S.A., which is the world's largest gathering of medievalists.
Individual Carmelite scholars often take part in conferences and seminars on medieval culture.
